Cobby Brzeski is a multi-genre, multi-instrumental musical artist and songwriter originally from Naples, Florida, and is now based in San Diego, CA. Cobby’s firm grasp of harmony, playful melody writing, and charming voice has created fresh environment for jazz to shine. Cobby is also versed in a wide variety of musical genres ranging from Indie-Acoustic, R&B, Pop, Funk, and more. Described as a vintage girl in a modern world, Cobby’s music possesses a natural gift for sensitive, relatable storytelling and is a blend of influences from Ella Fitzgerald, Helen Forrest, The Andrew Sisters and others, twisted with modern influences like Jason Mraz, Cyrille Aimee, and Post Modern Jukebox. Cobby has performed her music all over the East Coast, California and has been gaining recognition as an emerging jazz artist.

Cobby began her musical studies at the age of 5, originally choosing the violin as her main instrument and was a student of the Suzuki method, having learned to sing and play everything by ear up to the age of 10. Upon entering middle school Cobby fell in love with the flute, dropping the violin in later years to pursue her passion with the flute. At 13, Cobby received her sister’s old guitar, in which she taught herself to play and began to write songs. At 17, Cobby won first place in the Naples Youth Philharmonic Concerto Competition and was chosen to play Cecile Chaminade’s Concertino with The Naples Philharmonic Orchestra.

Cobby graduated from high school In 2012 and was accepted into The Berklee College of Music in Boston, but deferred to study at The Interlochen Arts Academy for the high school post-graduate program. There she studied flute, voice, and jazz, pushing herself to learn as much as she could. In 2013, Cobby was admitted into The Berklee College of Music on scholarship where she immersed herself in songwriting, production, vocal jazz ensembles as well as many different genres, and was very active musically. Cobby refined herself as a jazz vocalist, flutist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, studying with teachers such as Matt Marvuglio, Jeff Harrington, Karen Carr, David Thorne Scott, Kenny Werner, Stan Strickland, Pat Pattison, and others. Cobby released her first EP, titled Bring On The Swing, in 2017 and hosted her EP Release Concert in Daniels Pavilion at The Naples Artis.

After graduating magna cum laude in 2018 from the Berklee College of Music, Cobby has been performing seasonally in Naples, Boston, and San Diego. Cobby is currently working on her new album, Vintage Girl In A Modern World, which will be released by September of 2021. Cobby regularly performs between Massachusetts, Florida, and California.
